Volume of the normal prostate gland in Polish boys aged 1-17 years: based on transabdominal ultrasound – prospective study

I reviewed with great interest the study by Kowalczyk et al.1. I appreciate the authors ’ effort in developing nomograms for prostate size in the pediatric population. In many aspects of pediatric urology, nomograms serve as necessary and important reference tools in diagnostic and clinical decision-making processes2. However, we carefully need to assess and consider the method, stud y population and statistical handling of data that give rise to new nomograms before uncritically applying them to our daily work routine.
