Interpersonal Violence Among Adolescents: Have Young Men Been Left Behind?

Everyone has the right to life, liberty, and security of person as stipulated in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights [1]. Interpersonal violence, which involves the intentional use of physical force or power against other persons by an individual or small group of individuals and includes intimate partner violence, family violence, child maltreatment, rape or sexual assault, bullying, and community violence, represents a substantial threat to the right to life, liberty, and security of person [2].
