"Phillip Atiba Solomon's work has had a transformative impact on research, practice, and policy related to public safety and policing. His scholarship, largely centered on racial and other forms of social bias in policing, is highly innovative and scientifically rigorous with timely and direct implications for policy and practice. Dr. Solomon displays a unique talent for integrating diverse literature in ways that contribute substantially to theory and policy. Moreover, he has directly demonstrated his deep commitment to policy rooted in behavioral science evidence and social justice through his cofounding of the Center for Policing Equity (CPE).
