Maldistribution of fluid in preeclampsia: a secondary kinetic analysis

Preeclampsia is a complication of pregnancy that is characterized by hypertension, proteinuria, hypovolemia, peripheral edema, and, in severe cases, by coagulopathy.1 The combination of hypovolemia and edema is challenging for the anesthetist who plans to manage fluid therapy.
