Incidence of postoperative hyponatremia after endoscopic endonasal pituitary transposition for skull base pathologies

ConclusionMore than half of patients who had pituitary transposition developed transient hyponatremia. Hyponatremia was more common in those with narrower sellar access angle and smaller cranial extension of the tumor above the sellar floor. Anatomical/surgical parameters may allow risk-stratification for post-operative hyponatremia following pituitary transposition.
