Prevalence of Benign Vocal Fold Lesions: Long-Term Results From a Single European Institution

Hoarseness and limited voice capacity are often associated with benign vocal fold (VF) lesions. Despite their high clinical prevalence, epidemiological investigations focusing on these structural alterations are rare. The aim of the study was to present current European data on five typical lesion types (VF nodules, polyp, cyst, contact granuloma, Reinke ´s edema).
