Tool Tip: Human Subjects System (HSS) Quick Guide for Warnings and Errors

Have you encountered warnings or errors when working in the Human Subjects System (HSS)? Not to worry, a guide is now available to help Principal Investigators and Signing Officials who enter data into HSS resolve common warnings and errors. The system allows Principal Investigators and Signing Officials to access and update all the human subjects and clinical trials data associated with their grants in one place. You can update participant and enrollment information, inform NIH of ClinicalTrials.gov registration, and revise other human subjects related information as necessary, just-in-time for award, or after a grant award is made. The Human Subjects System (HSS) Quick Guide for Warnings and Errors includes sections for clinical trial, inclusion, and data quality-related issues. Keep reading until the end for general tips and resources! To find this guide and more information, check out the HSS Training website.
