Invasive lobular carcinoma (ILC) is the second most common breast cancer histology, classically defined by its “single file” appearance and multifocal presentation. Historically this cohort of patients has been considered cautionary for accelerated partial breast irradiation (APBI), given concern for increased risks of recurrence and under-representation on randomized controlled trials.
