Postoperative Glycemic Response in High-Risk Type II Diabetics Receiving Below-Knee Amputation: Does Intraoperative Dexamethasone Make an Impact?
This study aimed to assess the effect of intraoperative dexamethasone on postoperative blood glucose in diabetic patients undergoing atraumatic major lower extremity amputations. A single-center retrospective review of diabetic patients undergoing below-knee amputation between January 2017 through December 2022 was performed.
