Background: rTMS is a safe and effective treatment for MDD, however, patients often report comorbid diagnoses and other biopsychosocial factors that affect their treatment outcomes. Trauma history as a social determinant of health and lifetime trauma exposure can alter the development of psychiatric illnesses, like MDD.
