New Glycoside of Quercetin from the Genus Prunella

A study of phenolic compounds from four species of the genusPrunella (P. grandiflora,P. laciniata,P. vulgaris, andP. vulgaris subsp.asiatica) led to the isolation of 18 compounds, including the new flavonoid1. UV and NMR spectroscopic and mass spectrometric data established that1 was quercetin 3-O-(4 ′′-O-β-Dxylopyranosyl-6 ′′-O-α-L-rhamnopyranosyl)-β-D-glycopyranoside.
