Right heart catheterisation (RHC) is conventionally performed via central venous access and carries a risk of access site complications, especially in those on anticoagulation. The antecubital fossa (ACF) vein is an increasingly utilised alternative, which may become the preferred access site for RHC if safety and feasibility can be proven.
