Perceptions of WIC Among Young Maltreated Mothers and Professionals Who Support Them
The Special Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) is essential in providing nutritional support for low-income and nutritionally at-risk individuals. Many young maltreated mothers who are challenged with providing food for themselves and their infants utilize WIC resources. Little is known about how these young maltreated mothers and their professional supporters perceive the benefits of WIC.
