Strategies for policy competence education for nurses

Background and purpose This is a summary of Lee W, Choi S. Educational strategies to encourage participation in health policy for nurses: A systematic review. Nurses should have a key role in developing policy formulation because: they have in-depth knowledge of the healthcare environment; they make up a sizeable proportion of the healthcare workforce; they have close contact with patients; and their ethical values.
