Use of Biometric Data After Laser Peripheral Iridotomy —Individualized Monitoring Strategy for Angle Closure Progression

Angle-closure glaucoma is less common but more severe than open-angle glaucoma, causing approximately one-half of worldwide glaucoma blindness. However, it remains an underdiagnosed and underresearched disease. For example, in February 2023, there were 862 studies on open-angle glaucoma and only 85 on angle-closure glaucoma registered at ClinicalTrials.gov. It is clear that we need more efforts for better understanding and to help decision-making when managing this condition.
