Po-03-134 long term outcomes following laao in a large medicare population

The Watchman left atrial appendage occlusion (LAAO) device was FDA approved for stroke risk reduction in patients with nonvalvular AF in 2015 based on data from randomized clinical trials. Long-term outcomes following LAAO outside clinical trials and small registries are largely unknown. Collecting these data was a condition of US market authorization.
