Subject to the availability of funds, USDOL’s Bureau of International Labor Affairs (ILAB) intends to award, through a competitive and merit-based process, one or more cooperative agreements to organizations to implement a project(s) in Ghana. The proposed objective of the project is to reduce exploitative child labor in the cocoa growing areas of Ghana. The project will assist cocoa growing communities to design and implement Community Action Plans (CAPs) to address exploitative child labor and will provide livelihood services to households. The project will also aid vulnerable youth, under the age of 18, to further their education and develop marketable skills to secure age appropriate, decent work.
