In Situ Mesopore Formation in SiOx Nanoparticles by Chemically Reinforced Heterointerface and Use of Chemical Prelithiation for Highly Reversible Lithium ‐Ion Battery Anode (Small 16/2023)

Highly Reversible Lithium-Ion Battery AnodesIn article number2206238, Sunho Jeong, Hyung-Seok Kim, and co-workers propose a synthesis method of SiOx composite for high-performance anode for lithium-ion batteries. Synthesized SiOx composite shows intact hybridization of nanoparticles with graphene oxide sheets, and mesopores which are formed spontaneously inside the nanoparticles in a thermal reduction process. These structural features of composite significantly improve the electrochemical properties of SiOx. In addition, the authors confirm the commercialization possibility of composite through prelithiation and full-cell test.
