Colonic Diverticulitis Location Affects the Diagnostic Accuracy of Point-of-Care Ultrasound: A Multicenter, 10-Year Study

Point-of-care ultrasound (PoCUS) has high sensitivity and specificity in diagnosing uncomplicated colonic diverticulitis in Western patients. Evidence regarding the accuracy of PoCUS in Asian patients in which diverticulitis frequently occurs in the right-side colon is lacking. This multicenter, 10-y study was aimed at evaluating the diagnostic accuracy of PoCUS in various locations of uncomplicated diverticulitis among Asians.
