Acceptability of broad consent for the use and re-use of donated blood sample among west african stroke and stroke free individuals
there is increasing promotion of sample and data use beyond the primary research in genomic studies. Whilst this has the potential of promoting scientific discovery, participants ’ choice must be taken into consideration. The aim of our study was to understand the perspectives of stroke and stroke free populations on the acceptability of broad consent for secondary use of bio-samples for genomic research.
