ConclusionThe proposed MRI protocol is highly accurate. No hippocampal sclerosis/gliosis only lesions are typically MRI negative. Small MRI positive FCD can be histopathologically missed, most likely due to sampling errors resulting from insufficient harvesting of tissue.
