Evaluation of the Risk of Hypertrophic Scarring and Keloid Following Eyelid Procedures: A Systematic Review

CONCLUSIONS: Our study concludes that there are no reported instances of keloid formation following cosmetic (non-burn) eyelid procedures in the existing literature. Hypertrophic scar formation is minimally reported. The absence of keloid scar formation on the eyelid is critical knowledge for surgeons when educating patients about maladaptive scarring risks following eyelid procedures.PMID:36797842 | DOI:10.1093/asj/sjad034
