Inappropriate shocks following recent generator replacement

AbstractIn a  64-year-old male patient with an implantable cardioverter defibrillator (ICD) for secondary prevention of sudden cardiac death, a shock occurred some months after generator exchange and downgrade to a single-chamber system. Careful analysis of the stored electrogram revealed a rare cause that c ould be confirmed at the time of operative revision.
