Antibiotic shortages reported as prescribing increases over strep A concerns

Pharmacists are reporting shortages of some antibiotics, including amoxicillin and clarithromycin oral suspensions, as GPs are being urged to have a ' low threshold ' for prescribing in children presenting with symptoms of Group A streptococcal infection.
