Response to Lo et al. regarding “The role of 3D digital applications in Manual Therapy Education – A scoping review”

We would like to thank Lo et al. (2022) for their queries on our recently published scoping review [1]. We congratulate the authors for their randomized controlled trial comparing 3-versus 2-dimensional images for teaching physical examination skills for physiotherapy students [2]. Without a doubt, their study addresses an important topic in physiotherapy. While the clinical trial by Lo et al. (2022) was comparing 3D photogrammetry images with 2D traditional images for teaching physical examination skills of physiotherapy students, the intervention of interest for our review was 3D digital application emulating AR, VR or MR environments which require either partial or full immersion.
