Abstract No. 565 Trends in utilization of endotracheal anesthesia for mechanical thrombectomy in acute ischemic stroke in the United States

The literature on uniform baseline parameters and procedural details of general anesthesia in mechanical thrombectomy (MT) is scarce. Given the increasing volume of thrombectomies for acute ischemic stroke (AIS), understanding the effects of endotracheal anesthesia with intubation (ETI) on outcomes is time-critical and imperative. Here, we used a national database to compare the trends in utilization and outcomes of ETI vs non-ETI anesthesia in MT for AIS.
