Minimum direct hours to apply to internship sites
I’m finding that direct hour minimums detailed on the APPIC website for a few internship sites I’m interest in deviate from the minimums detailed in handbooks or program websites (with APPIC minimums being being higher than numbers listed on websites or brochures). I don’t want to throw away my money, time, and energy applying to sites that won’t even look at my application materials. Would it be ok to email TDs and ask for clarification on minimum hours or flexibility around minimum hours...

ABIM recertification for specialists necessary?
What is the general consensus on recertification for the internal medicine ABIM for specialists (e.g. cardiology) or even sub-specialists? I couldn't find much information on this from the ABIM website nor from other forums. People were saying that it is not necessary but couldn't confirm this.
Obviously I would re-certify for cardiology but for IM, I would not go through the MOC or LKA if I didn't need to. (Source: Student Doctor Network)

What ECs are expected for non-traditional students? If my ECs are mainly prior to my postbacc, does that harm my application?
Hello! I feel like there’s such a large range of what people are recommending as EC advice across various websites.
For background:
I have a degree in a medical related field (biomedical engineering), and a relatively low GPA (3.2, which counts as graduating with honors for my school as it is an engineering school.) I am in the middle of taking a 2yr science classes only postbacc with a 4.0 so far.

Mistake on Secondary
Like an idiot, I copy/pasted my secondary responses for Pritzker directly into the text boxes and submitted. The word count on Google Docs and the secondary website was different, and two of my essays were cut off prematurely: one by just a word, the other by half a sentence.
What should I do? Call, email...? How bad is this? I've heard of some schools re-opening their secondaries to allow for edits -- does anyone know if Pritzker does this?
