A Randomized Controlled Study Assessing the Effects of a Shoe Lift Under the Nonparetic Leg on Balance Performance in Individuals With Chronic Stroke
Conclusion: The results indicated that the use of a shoe lift under the nonaffected leg in the context of a balance training program could result in a greater improvement in static standing balance as compared with balance training alone in an individual with chronic stroke. Trial Registration: The study was retrospectively registered in the Iranian Registry of Clinical Trials (IRCT20190603043808N1).

The Role of Physical Therapy in Multiple Risk Factor Management Poststroke: A Scoping Review
Conclusions: This review highlights the need for better integration of clinical considerations into stroke rehabilitation research as a whole, along with the need for additional research regarding the role physical therapy can play in addressing multimorbidity in individuals with stroke.

A Comparison of the Responsiveness of the Postural Assessment Scale for Stroke and the Berg Balance Scale in Patients With Severe Balance Deficits After Stroke
Conclusions: Compared with the BBS, the PASS was better able to detect balance improvements in patients having severe balance deficits. The PASS is recommended as an outcome measure to detect change in balance in patients with stroke who have severe balance deficits.

Investigating the Relationship of the Functional Gait Assessment to Spatiotemporal Parameters of Gait and Quality of Life in Individuals With Stroke
Conclusions: The FGA is a clinical measure of functional gait performance that reflected spatiotemporal gait parameters and ability of individuals with chronic stroke to live independently. The FGA could be used to target interventions to improve functional gait performance of individuals with chronic stroke.

Social Participation Determines Quality of Life Among Urban-Dwelling Older Adults With Stroke in a Developing Country
Conclusion: Social participation and cognition were strong determinants of QoL among urban-dwelling older adults with stroke. Social and recreational activities and cognitive rehabilitation should therefore be evaluated as potential strategies to improve the well-being of older adults affected by stroke.

First-Person Perspective Action Observation Training in Individuals With Parkinson's Disease: A Consideration-of-Concept Controlled Pilot Trial
Conclusions: This pilot study suggests that FPP AOT is a feasible intervention and the research protocol designed would be suitable, with minor modifications, for the conduction of a subsequent stage 2 trial designed to verify the hypothesis that the adjunct of FPP AOT might improve motor performance in individuals with IPD.

Criterion-Referenced Values of Grip Strength and Usual Gait Speed Using Instrumental Activities of Daily Living Disability as the Criterion
Conclusions: Our reported cutoffs can serve as criterion-referenced values, along with those previously determined using different indicators, and provide important landmarks on the performance continua of older adults' grip strength and UGS. These landmarks could be useful in interpreting test results, monitoring changes in performance, and identifying individuals requiring timely intervention. For identifying older adults at risk of IADL disability, grip strength is superior to UGS.

Accelerometer-Based Monitoring of Upper Limb Movement in Older Adults With Acute and Subacute Stroke
Conclusions: Bilateral accelerometry for monitoring upper limb movements in a real-world setting might be useful to clinicians for objective assessment of affected upper limb use or disuse and function among older adults with hemiparesis from acute or subacute stroke.

Lower Limb Neuromuscular Function and Blood Flow Characteristics in AFO-Using Survivors of Stroke
Conclusions: This cohort of ambulatory AFO users exhibited large variations in functional abilities. We recommend that future studies in stroke survivors consider AFO use in their research designs.
