Effective Education Materials to Advance Stroke Awareness Without Teacher Participation in Junior High School Students
Youth stroke education is promising for the spread of stroke awareness. The aim of this study was to examine whether our stroke awareness teaching materials without teacher's participation can increase student awareness to act fast on suspected stroke signs.

This study assessed awareness of stroke risk factors and warning signs among students and staff of Obafemi Awolowo University, Nigeria.Methods: This was a cross sectional survey involving 994 (500 students and 494 staff) respondents. Predictors of Acute Stroke Mimics in 8187 Patients Referred to a Stroke Service
Conclusions: One third of the patients seen by a stroke team over 10 years had a stroke mimic. Factors associated with a stroke mimic may be ascertained by an emergency physician before calling the stroke team.

Short-term Bleeding Events Observed with Clopidogrel Loading in Acute Ischemic Stroke Patients
Discussion: Contrary to our original hypothesis, patients with AIS receiving clopidogrel loading doses within 24 hours of symptom onset did not appear to experience a higher rate of new serious bleeding events during acute hospitalization when compared with patients who did not receive loading doses. The Platelet-Oriented Inhibition in New TIA and Minor Ischemic Stroke trial is expected to provide insight into the safety of clopidogrel loading as an acute intervention after cerebral ischemia.
