Concomitant tricuspid valve repair for mild-moderate tricuspid regurgitation patients undergoing mitral valve surgery? A meta-analysis and meta-regression
J Cardiovasc Surg (Torino). 2023 Jul 24. doi: 10.23736/S0021-9509.23.12760-1. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTThe development of tricuspid regurgitation (TR) is a common complication of mitral valve disease. Although severe TR is usually operated on at the same time of mitral valve surgery (MVS), controversies remain regarding whether mild to moderate TR patients should be operated. Concomitant tricuspid valve repair with MVS for mild-moderate TR patients. Electronic databases were searched from inception to November 20, 2022 to include any observational or randomized controlled trials (RCT) that compare concomitant tricuspi...

Improvement of early outcomes in type A acute aortic syndrome after an Aorta Code implementation
CONCLUSIONS: An Aorta Code can be successfully implemented by using a standardized protocol within a hospital network. The number of cases increased, time to diagnosis, transfer and operating room were reduced and 30- day mortality significantly decreased.PMID:37488005 | DOI:10.1016/j.athoracsur.2023.07.010

Urgent Endovascular Aortic Repair Requiring Coverage of the Left Subclavian Artery
CONCLUSIONS: With an adequate analysis of vascular anatomy, coverage of the LSA for TEVAR is safe, and may offer results similar to TEVAR starting distal to the LSA.PMID:37419141 | DOI:10.1055/a-2125-3173
