Management of severe and/or refractory epistaxis.
CONCLUSIONS: Most cases of severe and/or refractory epistaxis are resolved by conventional tamponade. Endoscopy ligation is associated with a decrease in hospital stay, without serious complications. It is advisable to have all the possible therapeutic options available, for which the presence of interventional radiologists and experienced surgeons is essential to avoid complications and decide the treatment to be performed individually for each patient. Predictor of rehabilitation outcome for dysphagia
Conclusion: The results of this study suggest that a combination of factors other than stroke, including cognitive dysfunction and a decrease in activity of daily living (ADL) influence the outcome of dysphagia. It is not rare for patients who resume oral intake to be readmitted within a year for symptoms such as fever. Therefore, effective rehabilitation programs should be developed for the impairments of elderly patients and common disabilities such as dysphagia.
