Hospital outcome of concomitant tricuspid annuloplasty during totally endoscopic mitral valve surgery: a propensity matched study
CONCLUSIONS: Our study showed that totally endoscopic mitral valve surgery with concomitant TAP is just as safe and effective as isolated totally endoscopic mitral valve surgery, even with a long surgery duration. Our study also suggested that totally endoscopic mitral valve surgery with concomitant TAP can improve tricuspid function in patients.PMID:34164195 | PMC:PMC8182534 | DOI:10.21037/jtd-20-3302

Outcomes related to anticoagulation management for mechanical valve replacements
CONCLUSIONS: Taking into account relevant comorbidities and valve type, patients with a larger proportion of non-therapeutic INRs during the first post-operative year demonstrated no difference in longitudinal clinical outcomes. Further research into more standardized INR monitoring and potentially expanded INR target ranges for patients undergoing mechanical valve replacement is warranted.PMID:34164179 | PMC:PMC8182532 | DOI:10.21037/jtd-20-2562
