Single or dual antiplatelet therapy after transcatheter aortic valve replacement: an updated systemic review and meta-analysis.
Conclusions: This meta-analysis suggests that compared with DAPT, SAPT after TAVR is more likely to lead to a decline of 30-day mortality along with the reduced risk of bleeding and no increased risk of stroke. However, more clinical data and evidence from randomized controlled trials are warranted to clarify the optimal post-TAVR antiplatelet strategy. PMID: 31019786 [PubMed]

Transcatheter versus surgical aortic valve replacement in low and intermediate risk patients with severe aortic stenosis: systematic review and meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials and propensity score matching observational studies.
Conclusions: TAVR is comparable to SAVR in terms of mortality and disabling stroke in severe AS patients at low and intermediate risk, but higher proportion of AV re-intervention observed in TAVR. Those results should encourage caution when extending the indications of TAVR into low risk patients, especially for young low risk patients. Systematic review registration: PROSPERO CRD 42018112626. Reimplantation versus remodeling in valve-sparing surgery for aortic root aneurysms: a meta-analysis.
Conclusions: The current meta-analysis indicate that patients who undergo reimplantation procedures have a significantly lower risk of late mortality and reoperation than those who undergo remodeling procedures. Early mortality, postoperative moderate to severe AR and stroke were comparable between the two techniques. PMID: 33145047 [PubMed]

Minimally-invasive versus transcatheter aortic valve implantation: systematic review with meta-analysis of propensity-matched studies
CONCLUSIONS: In patients of equivalent surgical risk scores, MiAVR may be performed with lower rates of postoperative PPM requirement and AI/PVL, higher rates of AKI and no statistical difference in postoperative stroke or short-term mortality, compared to TAVI. Further prospective trials are needed to validate these results.PMID:33841958 | PMC:PMC8024828 | DOI:10.21037/jtd-20-2233
