Invasive Coronary Angiography in Patients with Native or Prosthetic Aortic Valve Endocarditis
CONCLUSION: Taking a multidisciplinary team approach, ICA is safe in selected patients with aortic valve infectious endocarditis with no adverse clinical outcomes, but significant clinical implications.PMID:36257543 | DOI:10.1055/s-0042-1757600

Impact of Preoperative C-Reactive Protein on Midterm Outcomes after Off-Pump Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting.
Conclusions Patients with HCRP level showed worse clinical outcomes regarding cardiac death and MACCE after OPCABG. PMID: 23427015 [PubMed - as supplied by publisher]

Mid-Term Outcomes of Minimally Invasive Direct Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting.
Conclusion MIDCAB is a safe procedure with low postoperative morbidity, mortality, and favorable mid-term MACCE-free survival in selected patients that should be discussed in a heart team setting to evaluate the "ideal" individual treatment option. PMID: 25207487 [PubMed - as supplied by publisher]

Total Arterial Revascularization with Radial Artery T-grafts in Patients with Significant Left Main Stem Stenosis Is Not Associated with Higher Perioperative Risk.
Conclusion Our perioperative results indicate that TAR in patients with left main stenosis is safe and feasible. Long-term results will have to be awaited to further evaluate prognostic outcome. PMID: 26334240 [PubMed - as supplied by publisher]

A Systematic Review of Early Results Following Synchronous or Staged Carotid Artery Stenting and Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting.
Conclusion Our systematic review suggests either synchronous or staged CAS and CABG can be chosen for the treatment of concomitant carotid and coronary artery disease. It seems that the synchronous approach is relatively convenient and the antiplatelet strategy is relatively definite. For these patients, hybrid revascularization by synchronous CAS and CABG might be a feasible and promising therapeutic strategy. Our conclusions and the quality of the existing data suggest that a randomized controlled trial is needed to define the best treatment for patients with concomitant carotid and coronary artery disease. The Role of Blood Transfusion in the Development of Atrial Fibrillation after Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting.
Conclusion Intraoperative and postoperative blood products transfusion in patients operated for CABG is not associated with increased risk of developing postoperative AF. PMID: 27575274 [PubMed - as supplied by publisher]

ICU Readmission after Cardiac Surgery-Still a Matter of Concern?
CONCLUSIONS:  In conclusion, readmission to the ICU after cardiac surgery is a rare complication that is still associated with excessive mortality. Establishment of an intermediate care unit proved to be an excellent means to reduce ICU stay without endangering post-surgery patients and significantly reduced the ICU readmission rate. Off-Pump Coronary Artery Bypass Graft Versus Drug-Eluting Stent Implantation in Patients with Multivessel Disease Involving the Right Coronary Artery.
CONCLUSION:  CABG was superior to PCI in patients with multivessel disease. Low graft patency in the right coronary territory was associated with cardiac-related death and the occurrence of MACCEs. PMID: 29843185 [PubMed - as supplied by publisher]

Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting using Bilateral Internal Thoracic Arteries through a Left-Sided Minithoracotomy: A Single-Center Starting Experience.
CONCLUSIONS:  Myocardial revascularization using BITA can be safely achieved off-pump through a left-sided minithoracotomy with good postoperative and short-term outcomes. PMID: 30193390 [PubMed - as supplied by publisher]
