Importance of squatting and sitting on the floor: perspectives and priorities of rural Indian patients with stroke.
CONCLUSIONS: Because a substantial proportion of patients with stroke identified DKF activities as very important for performing major daily activities, independent performance of squatting and sitting on the floor should be considered as one of the important rehabilitation goals for patients with stroke. Knowledge and application of upper limb prediction models and attitude toward prognosis among physiotherapists and occupational therapists in the clinical stroke setting.
CONCLUSIONS: Results from this study indicate that prediction models for UL function after stroke are not yet a part of daily practice in Danish stroke rehabilitation. Inter-rater reliability of the Swedish modified version of the Postural Assessment Scale for Stroke Patients (SwePASS) in the acute phase after stroke.

Perceived social support and social constraints in Hausa women stroke survivors: A cross-sectional study.
Conclusion: Findings of this study suggest that adequate social support potentially limits the level of social constraint encountered by women who suffered stroke. The Hausa culture seems to be impressive in characteristically demonstrating high level of social support as found in this study. It is recommended that physiotherapist should assist by providing educative programs that would increase caregiver's knowledge of social support and how to develop it and cultural values that emphasize positive social interaction should be encouraged. Cardiovascular conditioning for comfortable gait speed and total distance walked during the chronic stage of stroke: a meta-analysis.
CONCLUSION: Cardiovascular conditioning resulted in clinically relevant gains in walking distance of over 100 m post treatment on the 6MWT when initiated during the chronic stage of stroke. These results demonstrate that individuals in the chronic stage of stroke can still benefit from interventions to improve gait and mobility. Motor and sensory effects of ipsilesional upper extremity hypothermia and contralesional sensory training for chronic stroke patients.
CONCLUSIONS: The use of immersion hypothermia on the ipsilesional UE in association with sensory training of the contralesional UE improved motor function and sensitivity in the contralesional UE of individuals with chronic stroke. Effect of task-oriented training for people with stroke: a meta-analysis focused on repetitive or circuit training.
CONCLUSIONS: Task-oriented training interventions are useful for improving muscle strength and gait related activities in both acute/sub-acute and chronic stroke patients. Although this meta-analysis provides evidence of task-oriented training for improving functioning after stroke, further studies are necessary to investigate the effects of training on upper extremities and the overall cost-effectiveness of such training. Impact of social support on participation after stroke in Nigeria.
CONCLUSION: The impact of social support was significant only in the economic self-sufficiency domain of participation with higher availability of social support related to better economic self-sufficiency. Effects of horseback riding therapy on quality of life in patients post stroke.

A comparative study of conventional physiotherapy versus robotic training combined with physiotherapy in patients with stroke.

The effect of upper-extremity aerobic exercise on complex regional pain syndrome type I: a randomized controlled study on subacute stroke.
