Association of clot burden score with radiographic and clinical outcomes following Solitaire stent retriever thrombectomy: analysis of the SWIFT PRIME trial
Conclusions The combination of IV thrombolysis and stent retriever thrombectomy with the Solitaire device is highly effective in achieving successful recanalization and a good clinical outcome throughout the entire range of CBS values.

E-025 The development of a pre-clinical stroke model for stent-retriever thrombectomy
Conclusion The development of a stroke model amendable to mechanical thrombectomy provides a potential paradigm to study neuroprotection strategies coupled with clinical standard-of-care endovascular treatment. Further reproducibility studies are underway. References . JNIS 2012;4:307–313. . Stroke 2015;46:1099–1106. . AJNR2012;33:353–358. Disclosures O. Brooks: None. R. King: None. J. Chueh: None. M. E-069 Stroke thrombectomy patient selection: sex differences in collateral circulation
Conclusion Although this pilot study did not prove a significant association between poor collateral scores (0-1) and patient sex, there were higher rates of poorer collaterals and lower rates of favorable collaterals among men. Differences in collateral circulation would not appear to explain why women have poorer outcomes after post-thrombectomy, or a clear trend towards poorer collaterals among women would be expected. An analysis of a larger patient sample might yield a stronger association; for now, the sex disparity in stroke functional outcomes among thrombolysed patients remains unclear. Disclosures: K. Keppetipo...

EP61 Direct carotid puncture for mechanical thrombectomy in acute ischaemic stroke: a single centre experience and review of the literature
ConclusionDirect carotid puncture is an effective and generally safe approach for EVT, with major access-site related complications seen in <5% of the cases. It should be considered as a bailout technique or primary access approach in selected cases.ReferencesAkpinar CK, et al. O-033 Intracranial VCAM1 at time of mechanical thrombectomy predicts ischemic stroke severity
ConclusionsThe current study provides novel data on systemic and intracranial VCAM1 in relation to stroke comorbidities, stroke severity, functional outcomes, as well as the role VCAM1 plays in complex protein-protein signaling pathways. These data will allow future studies to develop predictive biomarkers and proteomic targets for drug development to improve our ability to treat a devastating pathology.Disclosures B. P-012 Thrombectomy aspiration post-market study in acute stroke: the TAPAS study
ConclusionThe Q Aspiration Catheter is a novel technology that showed comparable deliverability and revascularization rates as other commercially available catheters with no safety concerns. More prospective clinical data is needed to fully assess the Q Aspiration Catheter.AbbreviationsAIS (acute ischemic stroke), MT (mechanical thrombectomy), ASPECTs (Alberta Stroke Program Early CT Score), mTICI (modified TICI score), NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale), mRS (modified Rankin Scale), ENT (embolization to a new territory), sICH (symptomatic intracranial hemorrhage)Disclosures F. P-019 Clinical significance of contrast staining after mechanical thrombectomy for acute ischemic stroke
ConclusionContrast staining is associated with the development of ICH, particularly in the early period after MT and worse clinical outcomes. While patients with ICH had worse functional outcomes at discharge, contrast staining itself was not associated with worse outcomes. Lasty, larger diameter clot retriever devices and catheters were not significantly correlated with the presence of contrast staining.Disclosures T. Lazaro: None. P. Cotton: None. C. English: None. K. P-023 Spoke-administered intravenous alteplase and outcomes for large vessel occlusion stroke patients in a hub-and-spoke telestroke model
ConclusionIn this cohort of 258 patients who first presented to spoke hospitals as potential EVT candidates with CTA-defined ELVO and ASPECTS ≥6, treatment with intravenous alteplase at spoke hospitals before transfer significantly increased the odds of discharge and 90-day functional independence without increasing the odds of ICH. Intravenous alteplase should not be withheld from ELVO patients who first present to spoke hospitals capable of its administration but requiring transfer for EVT. Additional studies are warranted to confirm benefits of spoke-administered alteplase in other hub-and-spoke models and to underst...

P-032 Disparities in stroke: influence of socioeconomic status and race on timely access to mechanical thrombectomy
ConclusionsRace demonstrated to be an independent predictor of timely access to a stroke care facility and mechanical thrombectomy, while SES was not. Additional independent predictors were driving distance, wake-up stroke, and baseline functionality.Disclosures A. V. T. Nguyen: None. G. M Cortez: None. M. Baretta: None. A.
