Emergency coronary artery bypass surgery in octogenarians with acute coronary syndrome: off and on pump
CONCLUSIONS: We showed that emergency OPCAB as a revascularization option in elderly patients with acute coronary syndrome is more advantageous in terms of preventing major postoperative complications.PMID:37606114 | DOI:10.26355/eurrev_202308_33277

Low-dose intravenous recombinant tissue plasminogen activator in acute ischemic stroke without large vessel occlusion screened by 3T MRI
CONCLUSIONS: Our study indicates the efficacy and safety of low-dose rTPA treatment for AIS without LVO within 4.5 hours. Patient selection for rTPA by 3T MRI decreased complications and mortality.PMID:37522667 | DOI:10.26355/eurrev_202307_33126

The identification of sex-specific biomarkers in peripheral blood mononuclear cells from elderly individuals with ischemic stroke
CONCLUSIONS: Ten genes for each sex with significant differential expression were also identified in individuals with IS. The novel sex-specific gene targets may be promising diagnostic or prognostic markers and potential therapeutic targets for IS in the elderly.PMID:37522661 | DOI:10.26355/eurrev_202307_33120
