The relationship between the platelet to leukocyte ratio and mechanical thrombectomy outcomes in acute ischemic stroke patients.
CONCLUSION: Platelet to leukocyte ratio may be use to assess the risk of functional outcome and sICH in patients with acute anterior circulation occlusion stroke undergoing endovascular treatment in real world China. PMID: 32643590 [PubMed - as supplied by publisher]

Thrombolysis with rhPro-UK 3 to 6 hours after embolic stroke in rat.
Conclusions: RhPro-UK had an obvious therapeutic effect on ischemic stroke caused by thrombosis, and could be started within 4.5 h TTW with less side effects of cerebral hemorrhage than that of UK. PMID: 31584350 [PubMed - as supplied by publisher]

Frequency and risk factors of spontaneous hemorrhagic transformation following ischemic stroke on the initial brain CT or MRI: data from the China National Stroke Registry (CNSR).
DISCUSSION: Spontaneous HT occurred in 0.92% of the patients with IS in the acute stage. Being female, excess alcohol consumption, atrial fibrillation, and a prolonged period between IS onset and initial imaging were associated with an increased risk of spontaneous HT. PMID: 27320249 [PubMed - in process]

S100β as a biomarker for differential diagnosis of intracerebral hemorrhage and ischemic stroke.
CONCLUSION: S100β could serve as a potential biomarker for differentiating between ICH and IS and predicting short-term functional outcome after ICH. PMID: 27078704 [PubMed - as supplied by publisher]
