Comparison of Two Different Rota-Flush Solutions in Patients Undergoing Rotational Atherectomy: A Randomized, Controlled, Triple-Blind Trial
ConclusionsThe findings suggest that although continuous intracoronary infusion of heparin rota-flush solution does not increase the incidence of slow flow/no-reflow, traditional rota-flush solution without RotaGlide prevents coronary spasm more effectively compared to the heparin rota-flush without significant impact on severe hypotension. These results do not support a strategy of routine use of heparin rota-flush solution in patients receiving RA procedures.

Effect of Amlodipine in Stroke and Myocardial infarction: A Systematic Review and Meta-analysis
ConclusionIn the pooled analysis of data from 12 randomised controlled trials and one double-blinded cohort study measuring the effect of CCBs, we found that the CCB amlodipine reduced the risk of stroke and MI in hypertensive patients. Superior results for amlodipine were found in ten of the 13 studies included in this meta-analysis.

The perceptions and experiences of patients with AF regarding their disease and treatment highly influence the decisions GPs make, together with these patients, as well as considerations that patients have regarding their treatment; GPs need to be aware of their AF patients ’ perceptions and experiences with their condition and medication’ in order to facilitate discussions with patients and improve clinical outcomes.

Antihypertensive Effectiveness of Perindopril Arginine and Indapamide Single-Pill Combination According to Body Mass Index: Findings from the FORSAGE Study

ConclusionsStudy drug satisfaction did not predict rate of study drug discontinuation. No significant difference was observed between satisfaction with warfarin and rivaroxaban, as expected given the double-blind trial design.
