Correspondence on “Patients with Acute Ischemic Stroke Previously Vaccinated Against COVID-19”
Dear Editor, we read and follow the publication on the “Clinical Characteristics of Patients with Acute Ischemic Stroke Previously Vaccinated Against COVID-19” saga.1 There are no significant variations in clinical characteristics of stroke in vaccinated versus unvaccinated patients, according to Stamenkovi et al. We found no evidence of a link betw een vaccination and stroke.1 Since the basic Wirchow's triad is the accepted explanation for the pathophysiological process of the stroke, we agree that there should be no difference in the pathogenesis of the stroke in cases with and without vaccination history.

Stroke Associated with COVID-19 Vaccines
Development of safe and effective vaccines against coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) remains the cornerstone of controlling this pandemic. However, there are increasing reports of various types of stroke including ischemic stroke, and hemorrhagic stroke, as well ascerebral venous sinus thrombosis (CVST) after COVID-19 vaccination. This paper aims to review reports of stroke associated with COVID-19 vaccines and provide a coherent clinical picture of this condition. Most of such patients are women under 60 years of age and who had received ChAdOx1 nCoV-19 vaccine.

First Report of Cerebral Venous Thrombosis Following Inactivated-Virus Covid Vaccination (Sinopharm and Sinovac)
We present four consecutive cases of CVT after receiving either Sinopharm or Sinovac vaccine, both of which are composed of an inactivated-virus. All the patients recovered well with anticoagulation and discharged with a good functional outcome. This is the first case series reporting CVT following the administration of these vaccines.

Isolated and Combined Unilateral Central Retinal Artery and Vein Occlusions After Vaccination. A Review of the Literature
Retinal artery occlusion (RAO), especially central RAO, is a sight-threatening and potentially blinding ophthalmic emergency. Recent publications reported its association with coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) mRNA vaccines. Although rare, vaccines have been linked to ophthalmic complications, and it is of interest to examine the current literature on vaccine-related RAO.

Vaccine-related retinal artery occlusion in adults: a review of the current literature
First of all, I am pleased to have an opportunity to discuss our recently published review on vaccine-related retinal artery occlusion (RAO) in adults.1 Publication and reporting bias are well known in medical research,2 and time lag bias is unavoidable in major public healthcare event as if COVID-19 vaccination.3 Our review clearly listed out the literature search methods on search engine and database used (MEDLINE and PubMed), keywords and MeSH terms applied (vaccine retinal artery occlusion), as well as the date of the search (10th January 2022).

Is a high chest CT severity score a risk factor for an increased incidence of long-term neuroimaging findings after COVID-19?
From the outbreak of the Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic on 17 November 2019 in Wuhan to 2 November 2022, the total number of cases was reported as 617,879,854 and the total number of deaths was reported as 6,546,448 worldwide 1. In Turkey, the first case was reported on March 11, 2020. Until November 2, 2022, the total number of cases was 16,873,793 and the total number of deaths was 101,139 1. Today, there is a significant decrease in the number of cases and deaths as a result of vaccination and mutations in the virus.

Vaccine associated benign headache and cutaneous hemorrhage after ChAdOx1 nCoV-19 vaccine: A cohort study
Fatal complications have occurred after vaccination with ChAdOx1 nCoV-19, a vaccine against Covid-19. Vaccine-induced immune thrombotic thrombocytopenia (VITT) with severe outcome is characterized by venous thrombosis, predominantly in cerebral veins, thrombocytopenia and anti-PF4/polyanion antibodies. Prolonged headaches and cutaneous hemorrhages, frequently observed after the ChAdOx1 nCoV-19 vaccine, have therefore caused anxiety among vaccinees.
