Prospective Association of Daily Steps With Cardiovascular Disease: A Harmonized Meta-Analysis
CONCLUSIONS: For older adults, taking more daily steps was associated with a progressively decreased risk of CVD. Apolipoprotein B, Residual Cardiovascular Risk After Acute Coronary Syndrome, and Effects of Alirocumab
CONCLUSIONS: In patients with recent acute coronary syndrome and elevated atherogenic lipoproteins, MACEs increased across baseline apoB strata. Alirocumab reduced MACEs across all strata of baseline apoB, with larger absolute reductions in patients with higher baseline levels. Lower achieved apoB was associated with lower risk of MACEs, even after accounting for achieved low-density lipoprotein cholesterol or non-high-density lipoprotein cholesterol, indicating that apoB provides incremental information. Temporal Trends in the Remaining Lifetime Risk of Cardiovascular Disease Among Middle-Aged Adults Across 6 Decades: The Framingham Study
Conclusions: Over the past 6 decades, mean life expectancy increased and the RLR of ASCVD decreased in the community based, predominantly White Framingham study.
