Intraoperative fluid balance and perioperative outcomes following aortic valve surgery.
CONCLUSIONS: In patients who underwent AVR for aortic stenosis, positive intraoperative fluid balance was associated with decreased odds of AKI. Patients developing AKI had increased 30- and 90-day mortality. While the overall incidence was low, increased intraoperative fluid balance was associated with MI and 30-day mortality, while increased ultrafiltration volume was associated with 30- and 90-day morality. Valve-Sparing Root Replacement vs Composite Valve Grafting in Aortic Root Dilation: A Meta-Analysis.
CONCLUSIONS: Aortic valve sparing appears to be safe, and associated with reduced late mortality, thromboembolism/stroke and bleeding compared with composite valve grafting. Direct Cannulation in Minimally Invasive Cardiac surgery with limited resources.

Cognition and Cerebral Infarction in Older Adults After Surgical Aortic Valve Replacement.
CONCLUSIONS: In high-risk, aged participants undergoing surgical AVR for aortic stenosis, post-operative cognitive dysfunction was surprisingly limited and was resolved by 1-year in most.
