Optimization of GRACE Risk Stratification by N-Terminal Pro-B-Type Natriuretic Peptide Combined with D-dimer in Patients with Non-ST-elevation Myocardial Infarction
We aimed to explore the utility of multiple biomarkers with GRACE risk stratification for non-ST-elevation myocardial infarction (NSTEMI). A total of 1357 patients diagnosed with NSTEMI were enrolled in this study at multiple medical centers in Tianjin, China. The outcomes were 1-year all-cause death and major adverse cardiac events (MACE: all-cause death, hospital admission for unstable angina, hospital admission for heart failure, non-fatal recurrent myocardial infarction, and stroke). C-index, NRI and IDI were calculated to verify that the biomarkers improve the predictive accuracy of the GRACE score.

Baseline CHADS2 Score and Risk of Cardiovascular Events in the Population without Atrial Fibrillation
The association between CHADS2 score and stroke has been confirmed in patients with atrial fibrillation. But the majority of cardiovascular events occurred primarily in population without atrial fibrillation. Therefore, we performed this cohort study to evaluate the association between baseline CHADS2 score and cardiovascular events in the population without atrial fibrillation. A total of 99,755 Chinese adults with complete baseline data were followed for up to 10 years. The primary outcomes were cardiovascular event (a composite endpoint of myocardial infarction, cerebral infarction and cerebral hemorrhage) and all-cause death.

Relation of Platelet Parameters with Incident Cardiovascular Disease (The Dongfeng-Tongji Cohort Study)
This study aimed to investigate the above-mentioned prospective relations in the middle-aged and older Chinese populations based on the Dongfeng-Tongji (DFTJ) cohort. We included 31,751 participants who were free of coronary heart disease (CHD), stroke, cancer, or severely abnormal electrocardiogram (ECG) at baseline.

Underuse of oral anticoagulants in patients with ischemic stroke and atrial fibrillation in China
Anticoagulant therapy is an effective stroke prevention measure for people with atrial fibrillation (AF) who are at high risk of ischemic stroke. However, it is reported that oral anticoagulants (OACs) are generally underused in clinical practice. A better awareness of current usage of anticoagulant therapy would enable prevention of stroke secondary to AF. Therefore, we determined the nationwide prevalence of AF and the frequency of OACs use among patients with ischemic stroke in China. Based on the China National Stroke Screening Survey (CNSSS), a representative nationwide sample of 1,252,703 adults over 40 years old dur...
