Japanese encephalitis (JE) mimicking acute ischemic stroke: A case report
Conclusion: Diagnosis of JE that mimicked acute stroke at onset and with no fever can be challenging. Recognition of disease development, MRI and Japanese encephalitis virus immunoglobulinM findings are helpful in early definitive diagnosis.

Nationwide temporal trend analysis of reperfusion therapy utilization and mortality in acute ischemic stroke patients in Japan
This study aimed to elucidate nationwide trends in reperfusion therapy utilization and subsequent 30-day mortality in acute ischemic stroke patients in Japan. The analysis focused on intravenous recombinant tissue plasminogen activator (IV rt-PA) and endovascular thrombectomy (EVT). Herbal medicine for post-stroke insomnia: A protocol for systematic review and meta-analysis
Conclusion: This study will provide evidence regarding the efficacy and safety of HM for the treatment of PSI. Ethics and dissemination: No ethical approval will be needed because data from previously published studies in which informed consent was obtained by primary investigators will be retrieved and analyzed. Incidence of thromboembolic complications in hospitalized COVID-19 patients in a medical ward in Japan: A single-center retrospective and prospective observational study
Conclusion: Thromboembolic complications of COVID-19 are rare even in severe cases in a medical ward in a Japanese hospital. Further studies are needed to identify severe COVID-19 patients with a higher risk for thromboembolic complications in Japan.
