Effect of prior stroke on long ‐term outcomes of percutaneous coronary interventions in Chinese patients: A large single‐center study
ConclusionsPrior stroke history was the only predictor of risk of post ‐PCI stroke. The noncerebrovascular adverse events were not increased after adjusted analyses of baseline characteristics and propensity analyses.

The presence of angiographic collaterals in non‐ST elevation myocardial infarction is a predictor of long‐term clinical outcomes
Conclusions: In patients with NSTEMI the presence of angiographic coronary collaterals is a predictor of long‐term clinical outcomes primarily driven by increased rates of surgical revascularization. © 2013 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.

Meta‐analysis of randomized controlled trials comparing percutaneous coronary intervention with aspiration thrombectomy Vs. Conventional percutaneous coronary intervention during ST‐segment elevation myocardial infarction
ConclusionsUsing the totality of evidence available through 2015, this meta‐analysis failed to show that the routine use of aspiration thrombectomy in patients with ST‐elevation myocardial infarction significantly reduces all‐cause mortality, MACE, recurrent MI, TVR, or stent thrombosis. The role of aspiration thrombectomy in selected patients with angiographic evidence of large thrombus burden requires further clinical investigation. © 2015 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.

First in‐vivo evaluation of a flexible self‐apposing left atrial appendage closure device in the canine model
Conclusion: The percutaneous delivery of a novel self‐positioning LAA occlusion device is feasible and safe in a canine model. At 30 days, all devices displayed complete healing and occlusion of the LAA without any device related adverse events. © 2013 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.

Predicting vascular complications during transfemoral transcatheter aortic valve replacement using computed tomography: A novel area based index
Conclusions: Using CT analysis, an SFAR of 1.45 and an SFAAR of 1.35 are each significant predictors of vascular complications among patients undergoing TF‐TAVR. Utilization of CT‐based area may provide a more accurate screen for patients undergoing evaluation for TF‐TAVR as it takes into consideration the elliptical nature of the vessel. © 2014 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
