Contrast ‐induced encephalopathy following cardiac catheterization
ConclusionsCIE is an important clinical entity to consider in the differential diagnosis of stroke following cardiac catheterization. Given that prognosis is excellent with supportive management only, physicians should be aware of it, and consider it prior to initiating thrombolysis. © 2016 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.

Results of percutaneous closure of patent foramen ovale with the GORE® septal occluder
ConclusionPFO closure with the GSO is accompanied by a high technical success rate and closure rates similar to other currently used devices. The incidence of AF was higher than reported with most other devices. This may be a chance finding but warrants further investigation in larger trials. © 2013 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.

Clinical implications for diffusion‐weighted MRI brain lesions associated with transcatheter aortic valve replacement
Transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) is increasingly used to treat patients with aortic stenosis deemed high or extreme surgical risk candidates. Despite improved survival and quality of life following the procedure, TAVR is not without its complications. Stroke is a major source of morbidity and mortality in patients undergoing the procedure, with rates similar to and often higher than those associated with surgery.
