Effectiveness and safety of antiplatelet in stroke patients with end‐stage renal disease undergoing dialysis
ConclusionsAntiplatelet therapy, especially aspirin, still offers safe and effective treatment for ischemic stroke prevention in patients with end‐stage renal disease undergoing dialysis.

Differences in lipid profiles in two Hispanic ischemic stroke populations
ConclusionWe found significant differences in lipid fractions in Hispanic ischemic stroke patients, with lower total cholesterol and low‐density lipoprotein, and higher triglyceride levels in Mexicans. These findings highlight the heterogeneity of dyslipidemia among the Hispanic race‐ethnic group and may lead to different secondary prevention strategies.

ConclusionSince 2013, both hospitals' intravenous thrombolytic therapy program has been successfully applied as public health policy. A successful campaign on healthy lifestyle must be strengthened through a comprehensive approach with other public sectors in order to have an impact on the population, particularly in children and adolescents.

The burden of stroke in México
Regrettably, stroke has been scarcely studied in México, and the available data suffer from great variability in diagnostic testing, risk factor definitions, and poor generalizability. The current cumulative incidence of stroke in Mexico is 232·2 per 100 000, whereas prevalence among people aged 60 years or older is 18·2 per 1000.

A comparative analysis of risk factors and stroke risk for Asian and non‐Asian men: The Asia Pacific Cohort Studies Collaboration
ConclusionsMen from the Asia‐Pacific region share common risk factors for stroke. Strategies aimed at lowering population levels of systolic blood pressure, total cholesterol, body mass index, smoking, and diabetes are likely to be beneficial in reducing stroke risk, particularly for ischemic stroke, across the region.

Gender differences in the age‐stratified prevalence of risk factors in Korean ischemic stroke patients: a nationwide stroke registry‐based cross‐sectional study
ConclusionKorean women with stroke had more hypertension and hyperlipidemia after middle age, more diabetes after 65 years, and more atrial fibrillation throughout all ages. Strategies to control risk factors in women at risk for stroke are eagerly needed.

In‐hospital cardiac complications after intracerebral hemorrhage
ConclusionsAfter intracerebral hemorrhage, 4% of patients suffer an acute serious cardiac complication. Those with history of myocardial infarction or in‐hospital atrial fibrillation are at greater risk for such events.
