Effectiveness of Ultrasound-guided VS Electrical-stimulation-guided Botulinum Toxin Injections in Triceps Surae Spasticity after Stroke: A Randomized Controlled Study
CONCLUSION: In agreement with previous research, no differences were found in the efficacy of ultrasound-guided or electrical-stimulation-guided abobotulinumtoxinA injections in triceps surae spasticity after stroke. Both techniques are of equal use in guiding muscle localization for botulinum toxin injections in spastic triceps surae.PMID:37434519 | DOI:10.2340/jrm.v55.11963

Development of a Swedish short version of the Montreal Cognitive Assessment for cognitive screening in patients with stroke
CONCLUSION: The s-MoCA-SWE (threshold ≤ 12) can detect post-stroke cognitive issues. The high sensitivity makes it a potentially useful "rule-out" tool that may eliminate severe cognitive impairment in people with stoke.PMID:37309231 | DOI:10.2340/jrm.v55.4442

Impairments of the arm and hand are highly correlated during subacute stroke
CONCLUSION: Impairments in the arm and hand during subacute stroke are highly correlated and do not support the presence of a proximal-to-distal gradient.PMID:37219403 | DOI:10.2340/jrm.v55.2174

Online monitoring of focal spasticity treatment with botulinum toxin in people with chronic stroke or hereditary spastic paraplegia: a feasibility study
CONCLUSION: Online monitoring of spasticity in people with hereditary spastic paraplegia or stroke receiving treatment with botulinum toxin may be feasible, provided that the monitoring tool is tailored to the needs of all users.PMID:37073790 | DOI:10.2340/jrm.v55.6572
