Knowledge of Thrombolytic Therapy Amongst Hospital Staff: Preliminary Results and Treatment Implications Brief Reports
Conclusions— Hospital staff had adequate knowledge of stroke signs and symptoms; however, there was low awareness of thrombolysis therapy and its correct treatment time window among hospital staff. Targeted educational programmes among hospital staff regarding stroke are required to optimize acute stroke care.

Influence of Amyloid-{beta} on Cognitive Decline After Stroke/Transient Ischemic Attack: Three-Year Longitudinal Study Clinical Sciences
Conclusions— Compared with subjects without Alzheimer’s disease–like Aβ deposition, those with Aβ deposition experienced a more severe and rapid cognitive decline over 3 years after stroke/transient ischemic attack. Aβ was associated with changes in multiple cognitive domains.

A Multicomponent Behavioral Intervention to Reduce Stroke Risk Factor Behaviors: The Stroke Health and Risk Education Cluster-Randomized Controlled Trial Clinical Sciences
Conclusions— This multicomponent behavioral intervention targeting stroke risk factors in predominantly Hispanics/Latinos was effective in increasing fruit and vegetable intake, reaching its primary end point. The intervention also seemed to lower sodium intake. Church-based health promotions can be successful in primary stroke prevention efforts. Socioeconomic Inequalities in the Prescription of Oral Anticoagulants in Stroke Patients With Atrial Fibrillation Clinical Sciences
Conclusion— Differences by age, income, education, and country of birth were found in the prescribing of OACs after stroke. Differences were not explained by common risk factors. This indicates socioeconomic inequalities in the prescribing of preventive treatment after stroke.

Methods of Implementation of Evidence-Based Stroke Care in Europe: European Implementation Score Collaboration Clinical Sciences
Conclusions— We developed a novel method to assess different domains of implementation in stroke care. Clear variations were observed among European countries. The new tool may be used elsewhere for future contributions.

Socioeconomic Position and Survival After Stroke in Denmark 2003 to 2012: Nationwide Hospital-Based Study Clinical Sciences
Conclusions— The survival of patients with low income was reduced by 30% as compared with those with high income. Education had only a modest effect and only in patients aged <65 years. The impact of socioeconomic position was on late but not on early poststroke death.
