Long Term Mortality in Patients Treated with Carotid Endarterectomy
CONCLUSION: Symptomatic and asymptomatic carotid patients show similar long term mortality after CEA, but men had worse outcome than women. Sex, age, and time after surgery were shown to influence SMR. Nationwide outcome analysis of primary carotid endarterectomy in symptomatic patients depending on closure technique and patch type
CONCLUSIONS: There was an increased risk of ipsilateral stroke <30days in patients operated with primary closure compared to eversion-CEA and patch angioplasty. Carotid Endarterectomy After Intracranial Endovascular Thrombectomy for Acute Ischaemic Stroke in Patients with Carotid Artery Stenosis
CONCLUSION: These results indicate that CEA is safe to perform after previous successful EVT for acute ischaemic stroke. Low Incidence of Late Ipsilateral Ischaemic Stroke After Treatment for Symptomatic Carotid Stenosis in Sweden 2008-2017: Increased Risk in the Elderly and After Carotid Stenting
CONCLUSION: The incidence of ipsilateral IS after treatment for symptomatic carotid stenosis in Sweden 2008-2017 was low, demonstrating the effectiveness and durability of surgery in a real world setting. Outcome After Endovascular Repair of Ruptured Descending Thoracic Aortic Aneurysm: A National Multicentre Study.
CONCLUSIONS: This nationwide multicentre study of patients with rDTAA undergoing TEVAR showed acceptable short- but poor long-term survival. Adequate proximal and distal aortic sealing zones are important for technical success. Effect of More Expedited Carotid Intervention on Recurrent Ischaemic Event Rate: A National Audit.

Clinical Effect and Cost-Effectiveness of Screening for Asymptomatic Carotid Stenosis: A Markov Model.

Amputation Rates, Mortality, and Pre-operative Comorbidities in Patients Revascularised for Intermittent Claudication or Critical Limb Ischaemia: A Population Based Study.
CONCLUSION: The risk of amputation is particularly high during the first 6 months following revascularisation for CLI. IC patients have a benign course in terms of limb loss.
